Vinny and Lucy Maraldo’s families heal from the same part of Italy as Luigi: Friuli Venezia Giulia. The “Friulan” are a very proud and unique people who never forgot when they came from. Vinny and Lucy were the ones who introduced me to my grandfather’s old Italian club, the Famee Furlane. They have come to every event connected to Luigi and have been my “pipeline” to Friuli and the Museum in Cavasso Nuovo where their friend Michele Bernerdon set up a special exhibit honoring my grandfather. I will always be grateful to Vinny and Lucy for their love and support.
