In  late November I had the pleasure of visiting Loyola University and speaking to Italian American Studies students about my Grandpa. Professor Carla Simonini, formally of Youngstown University, booked me into the college for the students as well as a public performance, Romona Elementary school and the Casa Italia Organization. Carla is dynamic, generous and really cares about bringing awareness of Italian American culture to her community. I admire everything about her and look forward to coming back to Chicago soon!
